Born in the south of England in 1964 Peter has always had an interest in wildlife and the countryside. After running his own landscape business for 10 years he began painting as a way of relaxing and wildlife was an obvious choice as a subject. As interest in his paintings grew and after several successful exhibitions he took the decision to give up his landscaping business and to paint full time. His early work was painted in acrylic but he changed to oil finding this medium suited his style better, he could apply the paint quickly to the background but still achieve a level of detail when necessary. He has been the subject of several magazine articles including Sporting Gun and Bird Illustrated and now has work in collections throughout Europe U.S.A. and South Africa.
