Mark Gregory Holden has been drawing and painting for as long as he can remember and from Portsmouth Art College, he became an illustrator working in industry while raising a family.

A one-man show helped to launch Mark, which led to sales of work in London, France and Germany plus various commissions.

He now concentrates on ‘people in situations,’ whether equestrian, sailing or drinking coffee in a street café.

Mark is very much influenced by English impressionism which is reflected in his technique and use of colour. He prefers to work ‘oil-on-canvas’ but does use other mediums.
